I sometimes browse glitters and confettis on Amazon. Is that a bad sign? Not too long ago I saw some super cute fairy confetti, but the fairies were big (about 2″ from toe-tip to wing-tip). I had never used confetti that large in a sensory bottle before and I wondered if it would work. The fairies would fall to the bottom of the bottle pretty rapidly, but it could still be neat. I decided to go ahead and buy them and test them out.
The fairy confetti came with little starburst shapes as well, but I felt like the sensory bottle would need more. So, when the fairies arrived, I got out my glitter collection. It’s really frustrating to have to re-do a bottle if the combinations I choose don’t work out for some reason… colors clash, glitter size is too big (or too small), glitter may tint the water in a way I don’t like, etc. I actually took a few days to decide what I would put in the bottle. I knew that I couldn’t add a lot of anything or the fairies would get lost in the mix and obscured, so I ended up choosing a lot of iridescent colors.
Tinsel glitter and chunky glitter were what I started with. It looked good, but I still felt like there was something missing. Adding a small amount of tiny hearts and stars seemed to make the bottle complete! This one really shines with my sensory bottle light (find out how I made it here).

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Psalms 36:7
And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
Do I mix the water and clear glue before pouring it in? thank you!
Hi Samantha! I just put everything in together and then shake it up really good. 😉
I really like your work
Thank you so much! 😊
can you use glycerin instead of glue?
Hi Debbie! I have heard of people using glycerin, so I’m sure it would work. I am not sure about the ratios, however, as I have never used it myself.
