Bats and Stars Glowing Sensory Bottle

After all of the difficulties I had trying to create my Jack-O-Lantern Glow-in-the-Dark sensory bottle, it was great to have one that I knew would be quick and easy. Of my three glow-in-the-dark bottles, this one was by far the most straight forward and easiest to make.

The secret glowing ingredient in this bottle is glow-in-the-dark glitter! Glitter is one of the most common ingredients in sensory bottles, so everything came together pretty easily. I guess the hardest part was deciding what confetti shapes I wanted to put inside.

I bought a neat Halloween confetti pack from Amazon that had a bunch of different shapes to choose from. In the end, I decided on bats and stars, to make this look like a spooky night sky.

I originally made this with water and glue, but after a couple of days the glowing powder that is mixed in the glitter solidified in the bottom of the bottle, hard as a rock. Thankfully, it did not react the same way in a corn syrup and water solution.

The only other issue that I ran into was that the glitter got a bit clumpy. This was easily resolved with a small squirt of dish soap.

“The Lord is your keeper;

The Lord is your shade on your right hand.

The sun will not smite you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The Lord will protect you from all evil;

He will keep your soul.”
