One of my favorite things about making sensory bottles is browsing through all of the neat confetti that is available. When I first saw this package of confetti, I thought it was holly leaves and berries. It would make such a cute Christmas sensory bottle! It wasn’t until I opened the package that I realized there were poinsettia flowers in the mix. What a pleasant surprise! They are very pretty and make a great addition to this sensory bottle.
I typically use water and corn syrup in my bottles with confetti, but this time I felt like shaking things up a bit and used water and glue. The poinsettia flowers suspend for about 15 seconds, the holly leaves for 40 seconds, and the holly berries for about 2 minutes. The bottle looks especially nice with my sensory bottle light (see how I made it here).

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
Luke 1:30-33
Dear One,
The Christmas Poinsettias & Holly is so beautiful I’m not at all handy like that. If you would consider making two of them, I would very much like to buy them.
Blessings,
chris
Hi Chris,

I made this bottle and a few days later it turned red. How do I stop this from happening? Love all your bottles!
Hi Dawn! It helps to soak the confetti in a bowl of warm water for a few days. You might even be able to pour the liquid out of your bottle (if you haven’t glued the lid on yet), rinse the confetti, and put in fresh liquid. Thanks for reading and commenting!
